Dear Fiends and Ghoulfriends, Mummies & Daddy-o's Vampires and Graveyard-Dwellers:
It's your old pal the Crypt Keeper here.
Welcome to Phil's TALES FROM THE CRYPT...
Yes, it's official -- Atlanta's "best kept secret," (according to some) author/filmmaker/ bon vivant Philip Nutman (and his consort, the Atlanta Vampira) are now officially Special Guests at this year's Atlanta
ROCK N ROLL MONSTER BASH at The Starlight Six Drive-In (
http://www.starlightdrivein.com/) this
Sunday, June 7, from Noon until after The Witching Hour.
Metro-Atlanta area denizens of the night, come on down to 2000 Moreland Avenue and one of the best remaining Drive-Ins in the US for a day of custom Hearses, Miss Monster Bash, the lovely ladies of Blast-Off Burlesque, the scary Professor Morte and his irrepressible sidekick, Retch -- and more!
This year's movies are a head-banging double header of the original Amicus Productions' TALES FROM THE CRYPT and Joe Dante's ass-kicking werewolf classic THE HOWLING.
Since this is an extremely rare screening of the 1972, ORIGINAL film adaptation of the classic EC Comics' TALES FROM THE CRYPT, Atlanta's Ghost-Host With The Most, the one, the only Professor Morte (star of the monthly Silver Scream Spookshow at the legendary Plaza Theater
http://www.silverscreamspookshow.com/HOME.html) has invited Mr. Nutman (aka Dr. Schreck) to be a Very Special Guest at this annual early summer party for all of us who go like to go bump in the night.
Doktor Philip Schreck will be signing the last, limited editions of the uncensored history of Amicus Productions (published by Rondo Award winner Richard E. Klemensen though his legendary LITTLE SHOPPE of HORRORS magazine last year).
Hot Babes! Hot cars! Rockin' bands! And...a terrific double bill of great movies -- (THE HOWLING. and TALES FROM THE CRYPT? ooowwwOOOOHH!!!) -- screened at a Drive-In!!!
What are you waiting for? (C'mon! -- it's only $15 for a day of devilish delights!) Bring a cooler and your mini grill to cook out on (unless you want to eat concession stand food all day), check out the cars, the babes, the bands -- and don't forget the movies!!! (Or Phil's award-nominated "magabook" -- 'cause the final copies are going fast!!!)
GET ON DOWN TO THE ROCK N ROLL MONSTER BASH this Sunday...be there -- or be dead!
